You can have over two thousand milligrams of this substance each day and still be within a healthy guideline. Yet, most Americans double that. Just a simple reduction could mean fewer deaths from strokes, heart attacks, and high blood pressure.
I’m talking about salt. Besides sprinkling it on foods or using it while cooking, you often consume huge amounts of it unknowingly in processed foods and restaurant meals.
Another study concludes that cutting daily salt intake could reduce strokes by nearly twenty-five percent, plus cut cardiovascular disease.
Salt may add flavor to your foods, but it can subtract years from your life. Consider shunning the shaker yourself.
