Diagnosing Depression

Are you feeling tired or having trouble concentrating? Maybe seeing unexpected changes in your appetite or weight? It’s easy to dismiss these as symptoms as stress, a poor diet or fatigue—but you may be dealing with depression.

Depression is very common—and nothing to be ashamed of. But up to two thirds of those suffering from it avoid getting help.

The condition can lead to damaged physical, emotional, relational and spiritual health. And most of all—needless pain and suffering.

Thankfully, depression almost always can be effectively treated. Don’t minimize any unusual feelings. And if your appetite has changed, you’re sleeping poorly, or losing interest in activities—talk to your pastor or doctor. The mending of those moods could be an appointment away.
