Blame the Bicuspids

teething

Fever, diarrhea, fussiness, and a runny nose. If your infant has any of these symptoms, they could be caused by a variety of reasons. However, research suggests too many mothers and too many in medicine may spend too much time blaming your child’s bicuspids.

Researchers gave mothers and child health professionals surveys listing a variety of symptoms common to infants. In many cases, respondents wrongly associated symptoms to teething.

Now teething can lead to minor symptoms in children. However, simply blaming teething could lead to overlooking serious medical problems.

If your child is teething and experiences unusual symptoms, check with your doctor. And if teething is given as the reason, ask more questions. According to this study, some health professionals may want to bite their tongue on such a quick diagnosis.
