Doesn’t it seem like everybody has an iPod these days?
Yes, it does—including you.
I do, and I think they are wonderful. You know 48 million of those things have been sold, and I think one of things we like about them is we can control what we hear.
It’s amazing because you can screen everything out except exactly what you want to choose to listen to.
Right, and I think sometimes we fall into the same desire in our relationship, don’t you?
I’d love an iPod in our marriage sometimes, because I don’t want to hear what you have to say.
Put me on pause and lower the volume. I understand it goes both ways. Think about that in you own relationship. When you’re tempted screen out what your spouse is trying to say to you, take off those preverbal headphones and take a listen.
