Well, you taught me kind of an interesting phrase this week.
That’s right. In West Africa, the Messai have a term for gratitude that I really love. And whenever they want to think someone of they’re grateful they say “My Head Is In The Dirt” and they litereally kneel down and put their head down to reveal the humility that comes with gratitude.
The physical act is saying i’m humbling before you and i’m so gratfeul and of course were never going to practice that in this society but there is something about that humility that is so important to remember when you express your gratitude.
Yeah, and I think when I remember to be grateful for you and for the gift you have given me for comitment. That gratitude fills our marriage with lots of joy and lot’s of meaning.
