Clarifying Communication

Our little Jackson, three years old, is a constant source of entertainment. Just this week he was singing “Hark, the Herald Angels” but had his own lyrics.

His own particular rendition was “Honk, the Herald Angels said” and he was singing it repeatedly throughout the day.

And then he would ask, “Who’s Harold anyway?”

Yes, and “Why did he honk?”

Sometime our communication can get pretty bogged down with misunderstandings—misinterpretations.

It really can and it’s always best to keep a playful attitude, but really work hard to clarify.

That’s so key in any conversation. Think about that friend. How can you clarify the content to make sure you are accurately understanding each other.
