In 1994, Trent was killed in a sniper-style shooting outside his Lexington, Kentucky home. As they absorbed the loss, Trent’s father Mike bought a gift for wife Ann: A necklace, featuring an angel, and a football helmet with an inscription on the back, “Mom, I’m right here.” Ann panicked when the necklace slipped off in a shallow creek near their home. She and Mike searched in the mud with no luck, she recalls tearfully. Twelve years passed and then last month after heavy rain the pendant appeared, three feet from where it was lost. “I hate to say it’s a miracle,” Ann says. “I think it was Trent saying, ‘Mom, I’m right here.'” Watch this touching video here.
