Last Wednesday Christian artist Natalie Grant performed at the ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Natalie sang the song “I Love the Lord” at the Lincoln Memorial.
As you may know, Natalie campaigns against human trafficking, and she says that yesterday’s “Let Freedom Ring” ceremony should be a reminder that millions of people remain trapped in slavery today.
Also last week, More than 100,000 people just attended the Southern California Harvest Crusade sponsored by Pastor Greg Laurie. Greg is pastor of Harvest Church in Riverside, California.
Over 9,000 people put their faith in Jesus during the three day event at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. In their 24th year, Laurie’s Harvest events have drawn over 4.7 million people.
During the crusade, Greg interviewed Phil Robertson, one of the stars of the “Duck Dynasty” TV show.
Phil told the audience, “You have two problems that you cannot fix… you cannot solve. One of them is sin, and we’ve all sinned. And the second one is physical death…we are all going to die, all of us are going six feet deep.”
He went on to say, “Listen, what God has done through Jesus… you’re counting time by it…it’s 2,013 years since Jesus got here… What did He do? He died on the cross to remove your sin. First problem solved.
“Three days later, He was resurrected from the dead. The only way you’re going to get out of planet Earth is through Jesus.
