Winter Jam 2015 Grand Rapids

We recommend lining up for the GA doors as early as possible. Due to large crowds, the Fire Marshall has had to close doors if the venue reaches capacity, so please arrive as soon as you can. If you would like to enter before GA doors, check out the Jam Nation opportunities.

COGL 2014 Pastors’ Retreat

What Is The Church of Greater Lansing?

The Church of Greater Lansing is a network of churches and pastors in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties who joined forces in 2008 to help make an indelible spiritual and economic impact on Lansing and the surrounding communities.

Why A Pastors’ Retreat?

While our Pastors’ Summits provide much needed opportunities for networking, stories, prayer, and sharing, more time is needed to build authentic relationships and trust between church leaders. Because no one church can do it alone, we believe this trust is imperative to seeing our cities transformed for Christ. We each play a vital role to advancing the kingdom of God in our region and God “commands a blessing” when we “dwell together in unity” (Psalm 133). Our annual retreat is designed to connect you to other local church leaders providing mutual encouragement that builds authentic relationships and further strengthens leaders as you all rebuild the walls of our city together – each one doing his or her part!

What Can I Expect At This Retreat?

Our Pastors’ Retreat only happens once a year and provides regional leaders with an opportunity to build relationships over a two day period. As you arrive Sunday evening and can expect to be warmly welcomed by your colleagues who have a passion to see our region reached for Christ. You can expect to be encouraged, strengthened, refreshed, and prayed for by your colleagues and our event staff. Our facilitators are intentional to help move pastors from a place of isolation to being engaged in vibrant and healthy relationships with one another. Because of the dynamics of pastoral leadership we often hear that pastors are having difficulty developing safe and healthy relationships. This will be a safe place where you can share, grow, and be supported by your colleagues and friends. The primary format of this retreat will be dialogue between those in attendance, however it will include elements of worship, prayer, reflection, silence, clips, team-based activities, and just plain fun! You can expect to have a great time and to leave praising God and thanking Him for your brothers and sisters – while celebrating His grace to continue the work He’s prepared in advance for you to do.

What’s the time commitment?

Sunday evening October 19th at 6 p.m. dinner will be served (Check-in begins at 5 p.m.) and the last session will end at 3 p.m. on Tuesday October 21st. This schedule allows you time to get home and prep for the weekend if neccessary.
