They provide several ministries to low income or homeless individuals and families, with are main areas of focus being food, shelter, and hope.
Food: The City Rescue Mission has a long history of feeding the hungry in our community. Since opening a soup kitchen during the depression, we have provided quality meals 365 days a year to those in need.
Shelter: The City Rescue Mission is the largest emergency shelter in Michigan’s capital area. We provide a safe haven to men, women, and children, with 58 beds for men and 100 for women and children. Our Life Transformation Program offers16 beds.
Hope: The City Rescue Mission is grateful for the opportunity to meet physical needs; however, our core “mission” has always been to provide the message of the Gospel and evidence of Christ’s love to those who are often lost and lonely.
